Sanjay Verma is the Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer at Varuna Group, leading the global procurement strategy, supply chain operations, and logistics management. With over a decade of experience in supply chain optimisation, procurement strategy, and supplier relationship management, Sanjay plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and products across all operations. Sanjay joined Varuna Group in 1993 as a Software Developer, specialising in financial accounting software. Recognising his skills, the management transitioned him into Procurement Management, under the mentorship of the late Prabhat Shankar Pandey, the founder of the group. His leadership in procurement and supply chain has consistently delivered efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability across complex global networks. Sanjay holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Gorakhpur University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from DataPro Informatics, Delhi. He is also an advocate for ethical sourcing practices and actively participates in industry forums and conferences to stay ahead of emerging trends.Outside of work, Sanjay is passionate about gardening and ethical sourcing.
